Celebrate the Constitution

Every year, Historic Fort Steuben joins with the Fort Steuben Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to present an exhibit celebrating the extraordinary document that is the basis for the United States' government.

Information on the men who developed the Constitution, the events that led to its adoption and the importance of its place in history is on exhibit in the Visitor Center.

A display on the first ten amendments to the Constitution: The Bill of Rights and You! is included. The exhibit was developed by the National Archives.

Visitors can sign a facsimile of the Constitution and watch a fascinating video on the Constitutional Convention of 1787.

The 2023 event will be held from September 10-24 from 10-4, Monday through Saturday; 11-4 on Sunday. Groups can make requests for additional hours.
