Ohio Valley Frontier Days: June 1-2, 2024
Our annual event returns to the first weekend in June!
Every year Historic Fort Steuben – a reconstructed 18th century fort built on its original site overlooking the Ohio River – opens its mighty wooden gates for two special days to reenactors, demonstrators, musicians, storytellers, artists, crafters, and visitors of all ages for its family-friendly Festival. Within the picket walls, the soldiers set up camp and demonstrate the loading and shooting of muskets as well as the daily life of the enlisted men who inhabited the Fort in 1787. Surveyors replicate their tools and techniques for surveying the Ohio frontier.
Visitors make crafts and join in activities that make history come alive. Buildings are open for tours and soldiers teach military drill to young volunteers. Meet the blacksmith, candle maker, flintknapper, and others who demonstrate early American skills. Live entertainment from Ohio artists including Steve Free.

Enjoy fun and tasty foods. History, crafts, food, and music make this a weekend the whole family will want to experience.
